We were originally told that in order to help save the planet that a 5p charge for a carrier bag was needed to be implemented.

How come then are we now being charged as much as around 40p-50p per bag & in some circumstances they are PAPER bags?

It looks more like they wanted to pass the cost of providing carrier bags onto the consumer rather than themselves considering plastic has not been reduced in the products we are buying.

Yet another scam.

“AM I ALRIGHT TO JUMP IN?” — PUBLIC HELP POLICE CATCH FLEEING DRUG DEALER

A suspected drug dealer made a desperate bid to escape after being stopped by police — but members of the public stepped in to help officers catch him.

PC Ford stopped the driver after he went through a red light directly in front of his marked police car.

When officers detected a strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle, the driver was asked for his details.

But before PC Ford could even write his name down, the driver sped away.

The suspect fled at high speed before clipping a stationary vehicle, abandoning his car and running into woodland.

PC Ford continued the pursuit on foot, battling through bushes and brambles — and even accepted a lift from a passing member of the public who had witnessed where the suspect had run.

Another member of the public then stepped in to help detain the suspect when he saw PC Ford was tackling the arrest alone.

POLICE + PUBLIC = SUSPECT CAUGHT.
