The aspect I think about on Kwibohora is how liberation didn’t just save lives. It saved the idea of Rwanda itself.
Had the genocidaires succeeded in their extermination plan, do you think they would have had a country after that? No.
It would have been a nation of serial killers, with murder recognised as policy. The country would be deeply fragmented, broken into provincial enclaves ruled by paranoia and brute force.
The state would have collapsed from within - corrupt, isolated and ungovernable.
Because of Inkotanyi, Rwanda survived the death of the state.
This country was fought for, rescued, protected, and built with intention.
That’s why today, we mark 31 years of liberation safe in our homes, life in our streets, and food and drink on our tables.
We are not iciro ry’imigani. We are a country to reckon with. A country of great audacity, dreams, and unity. And that’s one hell of a love story to inherit.
We’re not yet where we want to be. But Kwibohora should always remind us that we can’t ever let Rwanda go.
Tuko Pamoja. ✊🏾
When you have never had a leader that believes in you & has your back, it's easy to minimise or overlook the magnitude& impact or...even call it something else.
Watching our leader navigate these crazy times but always putting Rwanda 1st. I can't help but feel pride&gratitude🇷🇼
It’s amazing to see how our leader PK is navigating these crazy times. It’s amazing to see how someone can be constantly poked but chooses to remain calm, collected and patient. Note to myself: #Discipline#Focus#Bigpicture
Inkotanyi z'Amarere, Mfura z’u Rwanda, there are no unsung heroes.
Whether or not we know their names or fate, we enjoy the fruits of their struggle.
Everything that lives, everything that grows sings their triumph!
Thank you for giving us a country we are proud to claim! 🇷🇼
Having a steady job. There's tons of unemployed smart people out here.
The job market just isn't enough for everyone.
Whether you got your job on merit or through nepotism, count your blessings and don't take it for granted.

📍 Kigali, Rwanda
I have seen ignorant people with dangerous agendas. Who will tell you Kagame and the RPF caused the Genocide by beginning the liberation war. Did the RPF instigate the Genocide? Did the RPF distribute machetes? Did the RPF call people to kill their neighbors on RTLM. They also say the death of Habyarimana is the cause of the Genocide. But A genocide isn’t something that you wake up and do. The genocide was planned and put into place by the regime on power that time. No one else is guilty of those charges. A person saying otherwise is simply stupid and dangerous. This is why as a post genocide generation we #Remember . You can’t lie to us about what we remembered from the generation that was there despite us not being there.
You see this is exactly why It is imperative that the young generation gets involved in the fight their parents started. Genocide perpetrators gave birth and poisoned their kids. They are educated and writing deceiving books, giving lectures in the schools you attend abroad letting slide. Remember History is not was, It is.
To the United fans who may have a short memory.
When Ronaldo was linked to City, you guys were SEETHING!
You all begged him to come back, knowing his age, knowing he wasn’t the player he once was.
He scored 18 PL goals in his first season back.
Grow up. Respect your GOAT. 🐐
