We were honoured to attend Remembrance events across Northern France during our recent port visit to Le Havre.

The shared acts of remembrance were humbling, showing clearly the impact of the sacrifice of so many.

Before completing our annual maintenance period, we hosted Capt Pressdee (head of Patrol, Underwater Exploitation and Diving) on board to meet the Ship’s Company.

PO Peters was also presented with his thoroughly well-deserved Long Service and Good Conduct Medal - BZ!

Next week HMS TYNE will be making the trip up the Tyne and berthing in the heart of @NewcastleCC to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!

We’ll be opening the Ship up on 3/4 June to visitors - no need to book, just pop on down to the Quayside by St Lawrence Park!

Here's the naval shipbuilding plan for Scottish shipyards for the period covering 2014 out to 2035, including the status of each programme. It is expected that 26 warships will be launched from Scottish shipyards during this period, including one export order.
