@AmandaMGoetz This is really interesting. I've spent most of my life trying to find solutions(lenses) when people vent. I've been told most people just prefer to vent & are seeking empathy(mirrors). I know I prefer someone to empathize most of the time instead of helping me solve the problem.

@AmandaMGoetz Agreed. I left organized religion years ago and I still crave and desire the community aspect. Digital solutions are a poor replacement for communities.

I hate Slack and other chat apps at work. They are a constant distraction from doing deep and meaningful work. I’m now seeing colleagues send an email and post in slack to communicate updates. 🤦‍♂️
