Here's what you need to know from the Ebola case.
1. It is an imported case, not an outbreak.
2. No contact has tested positive, and none is known to be infectious. A contact can only pass it on after symptoms start, usually 4 to 10 days after exposure and no later than 21.
3. It is Bundibugyo. It spreads only through body fluids of a sick person, and less readily than the Zaire strain. It is not airborne.
4. The next 21 days are the critical window. That is how long known contacts are followed before they can be cleared.
If you were a close contact, you will already have been listed. For everyone else, skip unnecessary physical contact with people who are unwell, and wash your hands.
Happy Q3! ✨
PS: July is when hiring starts picking up again, so if you've been waiting for the "right time" to apply, I'm already seeing more roles being advertised and more people getting interview invites. I’m here to plug my interview prep services because you 🫵🏾 may need it
