@marinbikes@nsmb Completely off topic - do you ever bother to answer to people who contact you using the "Contact Us" form on your web page? Bought a Marin DSX bike from a local reseller in August, I got a simple question, but more than 1 month and 2 sent forms later I haven't got any answer.
@lonewolfdesignw Hi and thank you. Effect is created using several stardard Unity Shuriken particle systems triggered at the same time. No shaders except stardard particle shaders.
Decided to make a variation out of explosions I did a while ago. This time, a dark energy kind of explosion with toon style smoke puffs. Bang. 💥 #madewithunity#realtimevfx#gameart#indiedev
Had to replicate that neat LCD display pixel effect. I don't know how it should work exactly, but this is my take on this effect with #AmplifyShaderEditor. Created fresnel env, fluctuating backlight, boosted glow and brightness near screen. #madewithunity#realtimeVFX#gameart
I've seen these pretty neat #Unity particle mushroom cloud kind of explosions by Archanor and others. Wasn't quite sure how the sequencing of elements was done so I tried to imitate it as much as I could. This is how far I got... #lowpoly#madewithunity#realtimevfx#gameart
Finally got my #Unity particle projectile shooting💥script done. It takes a list of projectiles and related effects, and makes it easier to select/shoot/move and remove those. Using generic fantasy projectiles I created... #gamedev#madewithunity#realtimevfx#gameart#indiedev
I created a script for projectile movement, this will allow making bullets and different kinds of missiles🚀with behaviors like speed change and 3D target seeking. Created also these generic particle effects. #gamedev#madewithunity#realtimevfx#gameart#lowpoly#indiedev
I was thinking how the electric arc⚡️ #Unity particle thing I did would work as some sort of electric death ray. Removed the aiming code and changed some particle settings. Doesn't make much sense but it looks kinda nice IMO :). #gamedev#madewithunity#realtimevfx#gameart
Was busy with other stuff. Experiment with scripted particle emission in #Unity. Particles are aimed at closest targets, lifetime is set based on distance / start speed. Not a complete effect, but I made some electric arcs for fun! ⚡️ #gamedev#madewithunity#realtimevfx#gameart
@alexviktorav Hi, shader functions allow you to create reusable piece of code... like any typical funtion. But if you meant what goes on in my functions, those are something like makeCircle, makeRing, makeGrid kind of pieces of code.
Here's an image of the procedural radar's node graph in #AmplifyShaderEditor. I didn't use any bitmaps. Same functions get used multiple times (keeping graph clean), and then I basically composite all the parts. #gamedev#madewithunity#realtimevfx
@stabbedbyapanda yep! I suspected someone might bother commenting this... I put the thing together in one session. I think I would need to add a script to do that, which I don’t have now as this was more about smoothstepping and procedural generation.
Smoothstep and shader functions with #AmplifyShaderEditor. Built a sci-fi radar! Geometric shape generators produce all the components needed in this thing (= nice looking graph). Customizable colors, grid, lines, marks and rings. #gameart#realtimeVFX#madewithunity#indiedev
