For #20YearsOfTaylorSwift I wanted to make a “debut” crochet project, something new I hadn’t attempted before. I was absolutely obsessed when I saw this butterfly cardigan and knew I had to make it, but my first time making clothing has definitely tested my crochet abilities, especially with all the color changing.
Only the back panel is done, I still need to make the front, but it has been a great learning process! the edges are a little wonky and I need to clean them up, it fits like I’m trying to put on a toddlers shirt and I really need to make some magic happen so I can actually wear it. I think the front panels I will leave the purple coloring out, and some other small details etc.
The perfectionist in me wants to scrap this and start over but I keep thinking about Taylor’s quote “hone your craft and don’t be afraid to make mistakes” so I’m going to keep working on it until I love it💚🦋🫶🏻
