@InfinitelyDean Petrol at K26 suggests to me that the taxes are back. Given the crash of petroleum product prices since the last revision, a crude model would estimate petrol at ~K22 in the presence of exemptions. At K26, the taxes almost perfectly counterbalance the price drops
@InfinitelyDean Both politics and economics favour allowing the suspension to lapse. Petrol holds, diesel drops = win on optics and treasury. Maintaining the suspensions means petrol down to ~K22, which when reversed will feed into the election season manipulation narrative.
