You are a political organisation with millions of members at your disposal. Instead of mobilising those members to show us how it should be done, you’re busy dissecting Jacinta and the SABC. Use your numbers as the EFF and show us how it’s done.
Experts may be satisfied with the speech, but on the ground, people are not.
There’s a clear gap between policy talk and lived reality in South Africa.
Jacinta has come onto SABC news and obliterated the points that Ramaphosa has raised as impossible to implement.
She cites inadequate deportation vehicles, a border only secure in 25% of its entire length, a badly under-staffed BMA with only 800 immigration officers, how will they deal qith so many millions of ollegal immigrants?
Big on closing loopholes on the laws that these people exploit. First on that list should be on who South Africa belongs to . I need it to stop belonging to all those who live in it but citizens ONLY
There’s R20 million to take random influencers who’ve never created content about football to the World Cup but not to fund the National Arts Fest? lol okay
This is the first time seeing our government so much under pressure, it's like they don't even know what to say tomorrow you can expect to hear Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni saying something completely different. #FamilyMeeting
A lot is going on in the International relations space ,seemingly . Much more than we are privy to as mere citizens ,it seems. There are big agendas and players on both ends of this illegal immigration issues and our people are used as pawns . Hopefully no lives ever get lost.
Whoever is advising the President is doing him a very HUGE disservice ‼️
The President needs to go back to the drawing board and understand how most of the things he is suggesting won’t even work! He needs to practically take time and go to home affairs, BMA, the border, refugee centres etc and understand the problem before he can even try and provide solutions. The President needs to take time and UNDERSTAND the problem or he will always fall short.
I’m disappointed that he continues to think this is a political and tribal issue…
President Cyril Ramaphosa admits that the government has not effectively enforced immigration laws, citing weak enforcement, corruption and failures in the migration system.
