Let's be clear that core is not a new language. It's an incremental upgrade to the existing language. We have a long history of breaking backwards compatibility to push Solidity forwards and core is a continuation of that tradition.
You still don't know what formal verification is and at this point you're too afraid to ask?
Anja has got you covered. At @EthPrague she gave a workshop explaining what FV is and how she and the rest of the act team approach it.
Full talk in the link below ๐
The @solidity_lang team is listening.
At @EthPrague, @_czepluch shared how developer survey feedback is driving what's next: fixing the biggest pain points and shaping the Core Solidity roadmap.

Blind signing was how billions get stolen. Today the Ethereum ecosystem ships the fix: an open standard, a neutral registry, and real developer tooling.
Proud that @SourcifyEth is helping build the open-source libraries for the best developer experience and contributing with their 28M+ verified contracts across 180+ chains.
Make clear signing the default.
What smart contract languages are securing most of Ethereum's value?
What Solidity version secures the most value?
We partnered with @argotorg to analyze the value that is secured by the top 1000 contracts on Ethereum and the activity that goes through these contracts โฌ๏ธ
Mark your calendars for tomorrow's live stream!
Three Argot projects have been selected for the
@thedaofund Ethereum Security QF Round on @Giveth: ๐ต๐ฒ๐๐บ, ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ and @SourcifyEth โจ
Tomorrow they will showcase how each of them is contributing to making Ethereum safer!
I just donated to 7 projects that are participating in @thedaofund x @Giveth QF Ethereum Security round.
These are the projects I chose but there's many more worthwhile supporting! Explore all of them here: ๐https://t.co/Ckds2eaoY0
Making Ethereum safer one project at a time.
In the case of @argotorg three projects were selected for @thedaofund Ethereum Security QF Round on @Giveth!
Over the next 21 days you can help fund these projects. No contribution is too small ๐
What do 1,095 Solidity developers think about stack-too-deep, AI tools, Core Solidity, and the state of the ecosystem?
The 2025 survey results are live. This year we've created an interactive site for exploring the results. Find the link below.
Happening now at WalletCon: @kaanuzdogan from @SourcifyEth discussing why and how we need to move away from blind signing!

๐ ๐ ๐๐.๐.๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ๐๐๐ฒ: a new compiler, a new type system, and a fresh start. The last release was November 2023. We spent the time in between rebuilding from the ground up.
We rewrote the compiler from scratch. Here's why ๐
Couldn't be more excited about this one!
Fun fact: Jacob was one of the first interns at the Ethereum Foundation 10+ years ago and deployed a smart contract before mainnet even launched ๐โ๏ธ https://t.co/Yc92aThmZh
Welcome to the team, Jacob! ๐
I've joined the @solidity_lang team at @argotorg as Developer Advocate!
They say there's nothing like dealing with a high-severity compiler bug to get yourself integrated into a new team, and that's exactly what happened in my second week. The explainer is linked in the next post.
More than a decade in the Ethereum ecosystem means I've followed Solidity's evolution closely, both the language itself and how developers use it in practice. I'm excited to bring that perspective to the team and contribute to the continued development of Solidity and Core Solidity.
I want to hear from you!
What are your biggest pain points with Solidity?
What features do you love?
What would make your life easier?
What would you like to see in the Core Solidity std lib?
Ping me here or DM me, and we can have a chat.
At the very least, take 5 minutes to fill out the Solidity Developer Survey linked in the next post.
The Solidity team is full of incredibly smart people who care deeply about what they're building. It's motivating to be part of that, and I'm happy to be back contributing to the foundations of Ethereum.
The annual @solidity_lang Dev Survey is live now. It takes 5 min and really does help.
You might end up winning a Devcon ticket while you're at it ๐ค
