For many students, discussions about sex and sexuality remain difficult to engage in. A student from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños sought to address this issue by turning sex education into an interactive learning experience.

Uploader Nyvel Villanueva developed a game-based learning approach titled "Kwentong Katawan" that aims to make conversations about sex education concepts more accessible, engaging, and comfortable among students.

It uses a board game format to encourage participation and reduce discomfort among learners. Through challenges, rewards, penalties, and level progression, the game aims to motivate players to engage with questions and better understand the concepts presented.

The board game covers topics such as basic concepts about sex, common misconceptions, contraceptives, sexual harassment, and consent. Questions are also designed around real-life situations to help students apply their understanding beyond definitions. (Photos courtesy of Nyvel Villanueva)
