@Albertburgess_ Risk yes but profit no. Trading profit isn't guaranteed so when the good months come along that might exceed 5%, then you should be allowed to have those to cover the quiet months or losing months.
@EdwardXLreal Not until I had 6 months to preferably a year of back up savings equivalent to the job I'd be leaving.
When I leave I intend to do it for good. That requires planning and no knee jerk decisions.
@TheTradingGuid1@casper_smc Look forward to the video. I must be getting my application of the sweeps and bos all wrong as I can't get results like this. I'm sure it's me not the system so open to seeing what I am doing wrong ๐
@TheTradingGuid1@fiddlemyleaf@casper_smc Oh yeah 100%. But then I suppose that's the beauty of backtesting it. Find what works for you and then stick to it as your set rules. Maybe this strategy forms a base for what you go onto use rather than simply using it verbatim ๐คทโโ๏ธ I mainly want to get a SR more like you had
@TheTradingGuid1@fiddlemyleaf@casper_smc Yeah see there are tweaks that might improve it. I looked across both sessions and actually had much more success in London. Maybe I need to try again exclusively doing NY. Also I assume you used no bias? I tended to find I was counter trend a lot
@TheTradingGuid1@casper_smc And this was to the letter was it? No daily bias, NY session only 8am until 5pm EST and no red folder news? I did 2022 and had ok results but across both London and NY and my win rate wasn't great. My results were better in London though. 37.6% profit with a 43% SR over 82 trades
@wordsofrizdom Fair play to you for exposing yourself to the toxic world of social media forex ๐ the bottom line is people making money isn't it? The how doesn't really matter.
@Albertburgess_ Massively need to remind myself of this. Last 2 months haven't been great and it wore me down and made me have an emotional wobble today. Fortunately, I recognised not to trade when feeling like that.
