[Pope Leo XIV @Pontifex]

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

Can the EU and legislators fucking stop trying to kill the internet and gaming in the pretext of "protecting kids" just cause parents cannot be arsed to monitor their children themselves?

[Accursed Farms @accursedfarms]

I put together a video going over the most damning parts of the EU Kids Act. It would make playing unsupported games online in the EU illegal, no joke. This is way bigger than SKG, most of the industry seems to be sleeping on this.

Another day, another 1984 act hiding behind "protecting kids"

[Jakey @KeyJay115]

The recent NakeyJakey video where he divulges how he and his brother modded the shit out of New Vegas feels like such a wonderful retort to this shit because its so personal and passionate.

Fuck "vibecoding" and fuck GenAI

[Stop Killing Games Official @StopKilingGames]

All hands on deck! This is the biggest threat to Stop Killing Games yet!

The EU #KidsAct could end #StopKillingGames by collapsing the EU gaming market and making private and community servers illegal!:

"The best thing you can do is spread the word...The people who write this crap do not like it when the public at large knows what they're trying to do to you" - @accursedfarms

Don't just take our word for it, here's the EU Kids Act to see for yourself. Ross also has more links in the description of his video:

AMD users: the latest GPU drivers are now available! If you’ve been experiencing visual issues in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, please make sure to download and install the latest drivers. We recommend updating before jumping into the game.

2.5% deposit leaves 97.5% left to pay.

On a new build (avg price £380,000) that means you’ll be paying £2000 a month + insane interest, you’d need a salary of £90,000 to even do this safely.

Who is this policy even for?

i genuinely wish people would find a better alternative man, it sucks that discord is THE place to chat because this is the shit that happens alongside god awful AI moderation

[Brandon @_Serange]

@rootappofficial 4. I dont want to move services for it to then die because it cant keep up with demand of people who cant/wont pay and then resort to drastic changes later to maintain the service. Discord is well establish and regardless of how shitty it is getting people to move can be tough.

[Brandon @_Serange]

@rootappofficial 3. So how do you intend to maintain servers for what will be a majority influx of free users from Discord. Discord has the benefit that its big enough and greedy enough to likely eat the costs of pure free servers and members.
