@ctshirts I was in the Cheltenham Charles Tyrhwitt store today. It's 33ยฐ outside but nice and cool inside, with the A/C on yet the doors were open. When I asked why they said company policy. How does this align with your target to reduce 'total organisational emissions by 5% yoy'
@ConnorQueen8 @HazLFC97 @Mudguppy2@ConnorQueen8 check your history before calling people idiots. Liverpool was founded in the 13th century and grew substantially during the 17th. Ireland became part of the UK in 1801 until independence in 1922.
Idiot.
@johnLseale@MrHappyCyclist This is the UK. If you want to join the conversation, show some courtesy by educating yourself a little on the history of road development before spouting falsehoods.
@MikeRod12233486 @NerdCyclist Threatening language is an offence under the Public Order Act 1986.
Dangerous driving is defined in the Road Traffic Act 1988.
Both offences are visible in the video.
@mitchellsnik Is the problem here that we have the Weeds Act 1959 which requires land occupiers/owners to remove Ragwort? The legislation needs to be reviewed in light of the biodiversity crisis.
@penninemoorhen@RosieP4@BraintreeDC It's not necessary for every junction to have extended splay sight lines. Reducing visibility reduces the entry speed into a junction which can improve safety.
@SO3_Craic @TheJacobTrueman@anon_opin @SO3_Craic You're very naive to think that ancestral wealth was earned. It was given to gain favour and build power amongst a small elite.
@petepanic3 @EmilyKerr36 @peterpanic3 As a Tesla fan, you will know that those vehicles pay zero Road Fund Licence. So what rate would you charge a cyclist? Would you base it on emissions (like the Tesla ยฃ0), road surface wear/tear, or something else?
P.S. roads are paid from general taxation
@markandcharlie Just out of interest which 6 force areas can you ride through in 2 hours? Possibly that bunch in the Midlands? It'd be an interesting challenge to see if anyone can get more than 6 in that time ๐
@Its_Lynnocent@RebeccaMtn@jm0ses @alicksimmons For clarification trespass of this nature is not a crime in England. It is a civil tort for which the land owner can claim damages (if any loss has occurred)
@Hey_Chanelle@EmmaSzewczak@Hey_Chanelle can you post a picture of the Housing Association letter? They have no authority to dictate where children can play in public and should be challenged.
@RosieP4@OurSacredGrove@WaterVole@katehumble@CliveAslet What Aslet means is that R2R would end his archaic vision of the British countryside. One of an exclusive playground for the wealthy landowners, depicted in the pages of Country Life magazine. He supports the hegemony to keep the people from land lost since the Norman conquest.
@CheltGreenParty Pls don't nominate a candidate for Cheltenham. The aim for this election is to remove Chalk and the Conservative government. Chelt has always been a race between Libs and the Cons. All you will do is dilute the Lib vote. A Labour gov is better for the environment than the Cons.
@roadcc@AlexChalkChelt is the Secretary of State for Justice and a keen cyclist who gets about Cheltenham and London on his Brompton. I'd be interested to hear what he thinks of this ban on bikes at Wimbledon Magistrates court
@adamtranter For someone whose education and experience implies intelligence, he's reached an illogical, incongruous conclusion, that shows he's really just a thick bigot.
