Tourism in GB has increased because of PML-N projects.

Nawaz Sharif arrived in GB two days ago, looked around, and said the condition of roads saddened him. He then asked why development funds were not utilized. He admitted Gilgit Airport has not been upgraded since his own tenure.

The tourism that exists is driven by K2, the Karakoram, and geography that predates PML-N by a few million years.

What PML-N actually did was lease 44 GB tourism sites to a private company registered in Islamabad in January 2024. Locals protested. Students were arrested for protesting peacefully.
