Education is indeed a fundamental pillar for individual and national success.
There is vast lack of this awareness in the Northern part of Nigeria .

Soft skills are really underrated.
Recently at work, I ran into an error I had never seen before.
The first thing I did was try to solve it myself. After several attempts, no luck. So I left it, worked on other things, and came back later with a fresher mind.
Still, no luck.
Looking back, I can honestly see the impact of the self-development courses I have taken over the years, especially the McKinsey Forward Program.
Little moments like this make you realize you're actually growing💯.
What soft skill has helped you the most in your career so far?
As a student, seek/take on internship opportunities
As a recent graduate, apply strategically and prepare well enough for the job tests, using the GMAT and other available PQs
Most importantly, PRAY for God's will to be done.
Shalom, Shalom!

A year ago, I wouldn't have imagined handling some of the work I do today.
One of my biggest flexes is gaining exposure to high-level Fund Accounting work as an early-career professional.
The learning curve is steep, but that's exactly where growth lies🚀.

What I have learnt is that starting your career in an organisation that offers growth opportunities is one of the best decisions you can make.
Work towards it💪
...so I reached out to the team I worked with earlier, and they confirmed the validity of my proposed solution.
The good news is that I got this issue solved, and I am feeling fly.
The better news is, I can now work more efficiently than ever.
Get the bag 💰💸🤑💵
That’s it. That’s the career advice nobody wants to say out loud.
Money is not a dirty word.
Being ambitious is okay.
Financial shame causes people to dissociate from their finances entirely, creating a spiral where silence about money produces worse financial outcomes.
You are at work to exchange your skills, time, and expertise for money. That is the arrangement. There is nothing shameful about that.
What you shouldn’t do is to:
→ Accept offers without negotiating
→ Avoid salary conversations for years
→ Distance yourself from colleagues who openly build wealth
→ Feel guilty every time you think about earning more
That’s not humility, that’s self-sabotage.
So what should you do?
1. Associate with money - good people build financial security so they can take care of themselves, their families, and their futures.
2. Negotiate with data, not emotion - know your market value; present it during negotiations. Make your ask clearly and unapologetically.
3. Ask regularly, not just once - Be persistent.
4. Surround yourself with people who get the bag.
The colleagues who talk openly about earning, investing, and building wealth should be your friends.
5. Tie every career move to a financial milestone.
Every promotion, lateral move, or new skill; ask: ‘Does this help me get the bag?’
You didn’t come this far to just ‘be grateful.’
You came this far to be paid what you’re worth.
Now go get the bag. 💰
Make sense?
Go and be fantastic today.
Just remembered this today and had a good laugh
This happened last year when I and a couple of friends were job hunting
Didn’t even talk to him about it, I just asked for an update about a place he

I rushed to check my reconciliation statement (recons).
Lo and behold, I saw these delayed coupons sitting comfortably in my recons🤭...
At that moment, I was at ease, and now, what my Boss said earlier made more sense to me.
It felt like I was effortlessly delivering my task.
