Over the last few months, our team @GoogleDeepMind and @googlecloud has been putting our Gemini-powered algorithm discovery agent AlphaEvolve to work across a wide variety of important applications. The results are amazing!
We're seeing major improvements in everything from chip design and genomics to logistics, electric grid optimization, and earth sciences. And this impact will only grow once it's used on more problems! 🚀 A perfect example of how AI agents will shape the world.

We are very proud to share that Ingrid Verbauwhede (COSIC) has been awarded the 2025 FWO Excellence Prize in Applied Sciences for her groundbreaking research in semiconductor security.
Selected by an international jury, these prizes are often called the “Flemish Nobel Prizes.” 🏆
📢 Just 30 days left until the 4th annual @fhe_org conference in Sofia, Bulgaria!
With a record breaking 56 submissions (12 talks and 20 posters accepted) and invited speaker Craig Gentry, this year is shaping to be the best edition yet!
It's time to secure your seat (and cool 4th edition swag 👀)!
Get your tickets below 👇
For those interested, @MPCalliance, @rwpqc, and @fhe_org will be hosting co-located events in Sofia around the same time as RWC 2025. We highly recommend checking them out!
Super excited to share how Apple is deploying homomorphic encryption! It'll be used for private information retrieval (mail, calls, content restrictions) and private nearest neighbor search (photos). This was an amazing effort across multiple teams! 💪🎉 https://t.co/6k8P16qiR6
Just finished the slides for my talk on securing the AI workflows for @AllThingsOpen on Monday.
Given the story with the bytedance intern from last weekend, this is now more critical.
I think it won't be recorded, but it's the longest I'll talk on this subject, most complete.
We're excited to partner with @Google HEIR to transform FHE using our photonic computing tech. Together, we'll tackle FHE’s challenges for faster encrypted data processing without decryption. Learn more 👉https://t.co/WF6sERovP2

We’re excited to announce that the 2025 https://t.co/WHoETLoHAv conference has been granted ICW-IACR (In co-operation with the IACR) status!
Check out the full list of events here: https://t.co/po28XbF3qQ and see you at https://t.co/OiTKAeeFRT in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 25th!
Lots of good work on encrypted compute lately, it feels like we are at an inflection point!
But can we please stop using misleading metrics like “amortized latency”? There are only 3 numbers that matter in benchmarks:
- latency: how long it takes for a single operation to complete
- throughput: how many operations per second you can do
- cost: how much you pay to achieve these latency and throughput numbers.
For FHE, we have always been transparent that we optimize for low latency, and scale throughput horizontally by adding more compute. This is particularly important for blockchain where you typically need to do a lot of operations sequentially and thus are latency bound.
We are happy to announce the next https://t.co/WHoETLo9KX conference in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 25, 2025 as an affiliated event of RWC 2025.
Grab your ticket and join us for a full day of interesting presentations, posters, talks and after party!

Congratulations to the winners!
"Those sources said the breach appears to have started when the attackers somehow gained access to the company’s Gitlab code repository, and in that repository was a token or credential that gave the bad guys access to Sisense’s Amazon S3 buckets in the cloud." - Bearer credentials in code is so bad :( It will be great if secret detection is enabled by default for private repos (usually behind opt-in or paywall - https://t.co/cfBHtyU3QQ, https://t.co/5lNGSUku5W; free+enabled by default for public github - https://t.co/zSnsdiZEZ2) - https://t.co/N3yrYtGk7S
I have been trying to make sense of the recent proposed quantum algorithm for Learning-With-Errors, and what it means in practice.
To do so I have created a document where I put my thoughts. Some may disagree with these thoughts, some may agree....
