It is always incredibly brave for any woman to face an incredibly traumatising system that doesn’t protect victims of sexual violence but to do so against a man with fame and power is even more daunting.
People vehemently believe that there are safety nets in place if you become disabled. That no matter what, you have all your needs met. If you believe this, you’re in for a rude awakening if you ever become disabled.
One of the hard things about having a neglected chronic illness is that you're often left alone to make medical decisions.
- Is it safe for me to have this examination/procedure?
- Can I permanently decline if I try this medication?

that’s the question isn’t it. what WILL she do? there are no youth clubs for her to attend. food, cinema tickets, any sort of third space activity is all too expensive. their parents are underpaid, saturday jobs don’t exist any more, children have truly been abandoned by the govt
Do you have LC/ME or another life limiting chronic illness?
If you have stable housing, nutritious food & reliable caregivers you should be uplifting, amplifying & fiscally supporting those in dire need otherwise you’re just perpetuating the harm you claim to rally against.
so much sympathy for today's kids. every aspect of their lives has been impoverished, there are no spaces for them, everything is prohibitively expensive, the planet is dying, they're being repeatedly infected, and the solution is apparently to further isolate them digitally.
