One thing I’ve learned on this journey is that one skill can create multiple streams of income,if you allow it to.

For a long time, many of us have been taught to think small: One skill = one income, one business = one product 🤦🏾‍♀️

Crochet is not just about making and selling finished items. From that one skill, I’ve also been able to generate income through:

• Pattern sales
• And teaching as a crochet tutor

Teaching has been especially rewarding, not just financially, but in seeing others grow, gain confidence, and turn their own creativity into something meaningful.

The pattern sales are my passive income. I started listing my patterns online on sites like Ravelry and Lovecrafts in 2021.

While I’m working on new ideas, teaching, or simply living life, patterns I created months (or even years) ago continue to sell. Small amounts at a time, but they add up. Quietly. Consistently.

This isn’t just for big businesses.
It’s possible for small creators, for handmade businesses, for anyone willing to think beyond the obvious.

Your skill has more potential than you think.

The question is:
How many ways are you allowing it to work for you?

My mom passed away exactly 30 years ago today, she was just 37, I was 14. I have always wondered how we would have turned out had she lived, but we will never know. I’m grateful for the principles she instilled in me in those few years, they have shaped the woman I am today. She would have been proud 🥹
