Erste Group Bank, asked The Mill to create a photorealistic rodeo Rudolph for their 2023 Christmas campaign. The CG reindeer had to be animated & rendered into shot plates, which required a full asset build with bone/muscle rig, full hair groom and FX.

@RuairiRobinson @RuairiRobinson 100% - this was so great. I still really like the 2014 film despite it’s obvious flaws. It amazes me how badly received it was - sure, there are missteps, but it gets a lot right. Cut to the current day-glo nonsense: zero mood, atmosphere or scale, no build-up.
