@ben_sage Earlier the code was written by a human, reviewed by a human. Now, it is written by an AI and reviewed by an AI so the chances of error propagating into prod is high. On top of that, if you try to add a human reviewer, the human becomes a bottleneck to dev velocity.

Vibe coders spent the last two years skipping the hard parts and now they’re shocked the job market doesn’t want them. You don’t know data structures, you can’t read a stack trace, and you outsourced your thinking. That was always going to catch up with you.

Why it feels off: every screen was prompted separately. Different blues, random spacing, 4 button styles.

The 30-min fix before you write any code:

1. Colors: 1 primary, 1 accent, a gray scale. That's it.
2. Type: 1 font, 3-4 sizes.
3. Screens: sketch each one and how users move between them.

Put all of it in a design.md file and reference it in every prompt.

AI is great at following a design system. It's bad at inventing a consistent one screen by screen.
