ہم نے کسی غیر ملکی طاقت سے نہ ہی کبھی یہ کہا ہے کہ ہمیں پاکستانی اسمبلی کے آئین میں ترمیم کروا کر قانون اور آئین کی نظر میں مسلمان بنوایا جائے۔ نہ ہی ہم نے کسی پاکستانی حکومت سے کبھی اس چیز کی بھیک مانگی ہے۔ نہ ہی ہمیں کسی اسمبلی یا حکومت سے مسلمان کہلانے کے لئے کسی سرٹیفکیٹ کی ضرورت ہے، کسی سند کی ضرورت ہے۔ ہم اپنے آپ کو مسلمان کہتے ہیں کیونکہ ہم مسلمان ہیں۔ ہمیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے اور اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مسلمان کہا ہے۔ ہم کلمہ لَآ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللّٰہُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ پڑھنے والے ہیں۔ ہم تمام ارکان اسلام اور ارکان ایمان پر یقین رکھتے ہیں۔ ہم قرآن کریم پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خاتم النبیین مانتے ہیں
