After a fair amount of searching we did find the mystery shuttle bus between Grand Canal Dock and Connolly
No signage to direct passengers, not using a bus stop, not shown in timetables
All setup to later claim it’s not needed as it wasn’t used
@RailUsersIe Glad you found the mythical shuttle bus - nobody in Pearse yesterday could tell me where exactly it went from, how often or even what it looked like. All I could get was ‘they told us it went from across the road’ and ‘sure, it’s only ten minutes walk to Connolly’. Very helpful.
University teachers’ precarious employment is unsustainable. Not only does the normalisation of precarious jobs keep staff poor, it threatens the reputation of third-level education in Ireland - The Irish Examiner https://t.co/emKycnMC0z
“I think I’m losing my nostalgia - and it feels good.”
A powerful letter inspired by Housewife of the Year published in yesterday’s Sunday Independent. Many thanks to Anna Fitzgerald for writing it.
As we enter our second week of release, HOUSEWIFE OF THE YEAR is screening in cinemas across Dublin, Cork, Galway, Mayo and Belfast. We have been touched by the audience response we have gotten so far, including reports of people singing over the credits. Catch it this weekend 💕
I was interviewed by Dr Miranda Melcher of the New Books Network on my new book The Professionalisation of Window Display in Britain 1919-1939. Click on link below to hear my summary.

As the film is being released in cinemas across the country, I want to thank all the women who talked to us and trusted us with their stories.
The first weekend makes a big difference, so please go if you can and tell your friends and family. (3/3)
A spotlight on the lives of Irish women through the lens of #HousewifeoftheYear@CiaranCass documentary is a must-see. Read all about it here: https://t.co/vHPQofIfvZ
@echolivecork and catch it in cinemas from today
"Housewife of the Year depicts an Ireland from the past, but it’s also an Ireland that’s within touching distance of today. While watching it, you reflect on how we live now – and what we might look on with a critical eye in the not too distant future."
Aoife Barry (@thejournal_ie) talks to @CiaranCass about his film which is out in Irish cinemas today.
