I cannot tell you what absolute fiction this is. AI is heading for a crash and this cackhanded Terminator narrative is being engineered to save them. The fact that the unsubstantiated testimony of a former employee has been the top story on BBC News all day is absurd and irresponsible. This attention-seeking whistleblower will probably be using his newfound fame to launch his own AI startup soon you watch. It's utter nonsense. The world's not going to end. AI will never be able to build bioweapons. It still struggles to spell rhododendron. Put the kettle on. Enjoy your Sunday night.
