I'm deeply saddened by the passing of my friend N Sathiya Moorthy, a respected journalist and analyst. His decades of insightful writing on Maldives' politics earned him a trusted voice globally. He'll be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to Dhanalakshmi and Sripathi.
Deeply shocked and saddened. N. Sathiya Moorthy was a dear friend and a rare South Asia specialist who always cared deeply about Maldives–India relations. His demise is hard to accept. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.

#ICWA Research Scholars Dr. Sripathi Narayanan @_sripathi and Dr. Mehdi Hussain @mehdi61961574 participated in the International Forum on "Myanmar Beyond 2025: Challenges and Opportunities in the Multipolar World," organized by the newly established Myanmar Narrative Think Tank in Nay Pyi Taw on 21 March 2025. The daylong Forum was inaugurated by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council & Prime Minister of Myanmar, along with the Minister of Information of Myanmar, U Maung Maung Ohn and other dignitaries. Experts on geopolitics and geoeconomics from #India, #Russia, #China, #Italy, #Nepal, #Japan, #Thailand, and #Myanmar participated in the discussions. Prime Minister and SAC Chairman emphasized Myanmar’s commitment to strategic autonomy in its #foreignpolicy to foster national development amid emerging opportunities in a multipolar world. He also said that Myanmar is committed towards a multiparty federal democracy.
