Heck yeah - and they serve stuff like Trappist beer, mead made from the honey of a local hermit's bees, wines like Dom Perignon (bc ofc - sure it'd for that one person that only drinks wine, but it's on theme), and all the specialty cocktails involve Catholic inspiration or liquor/liquers named after Catholic figures, orders, etc. (Like Chartreuse and the Cartheusians, Frangelico, Bénédictine, etc.) - could easily get over the top, but if done right could honestly be a total vibe!

DC will do that to you 😅😂 (I stopped riding the metro when I was in school there outside of emergencies/distances too long to cover otherwise when they started theeatening to throw people off trains for not 😷-ing, even if there were only one other person in the whole car -;they encouraged snitching, so when I had to, I'd face away from whoever else was in that car and pull it under my chin or pull up my hood and take it off altogether - that and random y/n knife fights happening more than once in the same car I was in had me choosing to walk 5 miles over taking the metro 💀)

Love that part of DC - Catholic central for a reason! (The Franciscan monastery of the Holy Land that's modeled after the interior of the Holy Sepulchre is up there too, just over the bridge, a turn or two and then a few blocks up - it's crazy gorgeous and they have an amazing TLM most Sundays too. Just be careful, especially near the metro or across the tracks from the university/basilica - definitely not a safe part of the city (basically anywhere within about a block surrounding campus, minus that main street outside campus down the block from the Dominican House of Studies, is crawling with people on all sorts of things who get aggressive and randomly decide to shånk or sțãb people if they don't like their face and/or skin color 😭😣

Hehehe the balsamic vinegar in lieu of cooking wine or red wine trick is something I fall back on wayyyyy too often 😅 🤭 It definitely adds more sweetness than the average wine, but the tanginess and more syrupy richness I've found can give both the stews and (sparingly) pasta sauces I put it in, an interesting richness almost like adsing in brown sugar instead of white in baked goods or dark soy sauce instead of light soy sauce! 🙌

Lol in the industry my job is in, there's enough silly superstition where that's one if the most dangerous things you can say, because it'll bring incessant amounts of chaos down on the rest of the shift 😂😂 Do I personally believe it? Nahh, but when all my coworkers do it gets funny seeing ppl freak out when someone comments that it's not too busy 🤭🤭
