Wrote this article last year and it’s increasingly looking like we’re going down the same path - it cost us relegation last season.

This season, we again haven’t got any shirts to buy in pre-season, must have sold 5-10m in players with very little incomings and the wallet firmly closed.

We’re 23 days away from the start of the season and again communication is non-league level.

It’s not good enough.

Extremely disappointing to only get £5m for Thelo after having to pay his £3.5m release clause in January.

To have lost both our starting GK and one of our best players, whilst only bringing in two older heads on free transfers, is not a good look at all.

That Slovenia trip is the ideal time to start building some togetherness in that squad, yet there’s still no clarity on who’s coming and going.

Trying to give the Board the benefit of the doubt after end of season statements about learning from mistakes, but any patience is starting to wear thin.

Time to act and spend some of that cash, 2020.
