@kissa_93 Agreed. Cheer is definitely like a family environment so makes sense there’s split support. I lost my family when I reported so I get it but also don’t. A child can’t make up details of abuse but adults struggle to admit their perception of a person could be wrong

@kissa_93 @Roxtober415 I don’t mean to cause drama but this work is my passion and I actually did mandated therapy with convicted sex offenders. The underlying issue is always power and control connected to self-esteem. There’s no life event that makes an individual sexually perpetrate

@kissa_93 I didn’t take it as that but I see what you’re saying. I didn’t really know how to take it. I think I saw it as like a manipulative undertone because let’s be honest, sex offenders are incredibly calculated, they have to to be in order to offend.

@Roxtober415 @kissa_93 I would hope it highlights the manipulation abusers (particularly with sexual abuse) utilize to gain trust and comfort with the individual they intend to abuse. I also hope it’s a cautionary tale for parents to recognize abuse happens most often from people closest to the child

@Roxtober415 @kissa_93 No, I’m sorry but I have to disagree. The reported abuse happened prior to any quick fame or exploitation so that cannot be used as a scapegoat. There is absolutely NO excuse/justification for hurting a child. I agree he couldn’t avoid his demons but…
