Glass looks modern, but in India’s hot climate, too much of it traps heat, making buildings hotter and increasing the need for air conditioning.

The Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme, organised by the Department of Commerce, Gauhati University on 2 July 2026, featured an inspiring and interactive special talk by renowned entrepreneur Ms. Maushmi Saikia Kalita.

Her experiences highlighted the importance of self-confidence, resilience, and perseverance in entrepreneurship. Her journey demonstrated how challenges can be transformed into opportunities through determination, hard work, and belief in oneself.

The session was a valuable reminder that success begins with the courage to take the first step and the commitment to keep moving forward.
