#Canada has finally called for an immediate ceasefire in #Gaza. After 66 days of some of the worst violence against civilians we have seen in decades, Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau and Minister @melaniejoly have joined many other countries in calling for a ceasefire at the UN General Assembly vote.

Our community stood up like never before to push for this crucial milestone in creating peace in #Palestine, and today, there is a tiny but important step in the right direction.

Now that the call has come, the end of the beginning nears as we shift our attention from words and wishes to lift this #ceasefire policy into the reality of action and deeds.
