Just built vid, a fun after-hours project: an AI video summarizer! 🎥✨It stitches together FFmpeg, Whisper, OpenCV, and Gemma (via Ollama) to extract audio, keyframes, descriptions, and then summarize it all. Pretty neat pipeline for video insights.
Tbh, this install flow isn’t yet optimal. Pushing to Flathub isn’t on my roadmap, and standing up a custom Flatpak repo will take more tinkering. But it’s a solid step toward zero-hassle Linux installs for my favorite AI-first editor.

@0xyyy77 I wouldn’t say so. Sure it adds complexity, but I often lack time to build everything from scratch or need more control than any one tool provides. When used systematically, they work well together. It’s a trade-off I’m happy to make for the results I need.
