There is an old man who never celebrated his birthday. Not once in 80 years.

His last daughter is getting married this month. After her wedding, she had planned to throw him his very first birthday celebration. The event hall was booked. Hotels were reserved for guests coming from far. Everything was set.

Last night, he passed away.

Today has been silent. Loud silence.

The wedding is the 8th. The birthday was supposed to be the 15th.

He never got to see either.

Life does not negotiate. It does not give warnings or wait for the right moment.

Celebrate your loved ones while they are still here. Forgive that person. Reconcile with that friend. Show kindness today, not tomorrow. Make every moment count.

No one knows whose turn it would be next.

My Cousin’s wife coerced him to borrow 14m Naira for her and she’s relocated with all his properties to an unknown location.

This morning at about 6am I received a call from my sibling that my Cousin that resides in Enugu with his family was in Benin and there’s serious problem.

So after Church I visited him at his mom place to ascertain what was wrong.

I met him crying and his mother was consoling him.

My Cousin will be 55yrs old this August.
In 2017, he was 46yrs old when he brought this 27yrs old divorcee to the family as the woman he wants to marry and I objected it immediately. Reasons, I felt she had an agenda but no one else supported me .

We had a quarrel then and I told him not to call my phone anymore.

Today, when I saw him he was a shadow of himself so I asked him what happened.
He told me that early this year his wife made him borrow 14m from his work place for her to start a foodstuff business to be paid over a space of 4yrs as they’ll be deducting the money and the interest from his salary.

He said his salary is 500k and every month, 400k is being deducted directly from his salary.

He told me since he set up the business for his wife, she goes to work by 6am and comes back by 10pm.

He handles the children, cooking, cleaning, washing and everything so this holiday he confronted the wife to make adjustments since the children are home so she can be cooking for them and an argument broke out.

He said the wife left and went to her village so he thought it was a good opportunity to go see her family so he took the children and travel also.

While he got there, the mother inlaw and the sister inlaw attacked him and a fight broke out. He was in the village settling the quarrel with her family not knowing it was a planned distraction.

It was neighbors that called him from Enugu that his wife brought a truck and some boys to empty their entire apartment. She packed everything leaving only his clothes and shoes, everything else was taken away.

My Cousin also told me that he saw a new bungalow in the wife’s father’s compound in the village and people told him it’s the wife that is building it.

He cried that I warned him, if he had known he would have listened.

Now he has a debt of over 11m to pay alone and 2 young children that he’s not sure if they are his and he’ll need to start life all over.

The Lady completely destroyed him.
