📝: mgkは2026年8月16日、千葉県の幕張メッセで開催された「サマーソニック東京」に出演しました。mgkは東京でのパフォーマンスについて、緊張しながらも楽しみにしていると語り、16年間音楽活動を続けてきた中で、今回のステージが長年の「バケットリスト」の一つだったと明かしました。また、『Tickets to My Downfall』が別の若いミュージシャンに音楽を好きになるきっかけを与えたことや、自身の象徴的なピンクのギターが世界中へ連れて行ってくれたことについて振り返りました。日本のファンに感謝を伝えた後、この曲をパンクロッカー、そしてジャンルに縛られることを拒むすべての人に捧げました。

mgkは次のように語りました。
「緊張すると冗談を言っちゃいます。めっちゃ緊張してます。最高のショーを届けたいです。でも、真面目な話、楽屋で他のバンドの子が「『Tickets to My Downfall』が初めて音楽を好きになったアルバム」って言ってくれました。このピンクのギターと世界を回ってきました。夢見た東京のステージに立っています。この業界で16年やってきました。東京でこんな大勢の前でやるのは初めてです。来てくれて、俺とバンドのみんなの夢を叶えてくれてありがとう。今夜、このピンクのギターを弾く時が来た。これはパンクロッカーへ。ジャンルに縛られず、常識を打ち破るみんなへ。これは君たちのための曲です。」

その後、mgkは「title track」のパフォーマンスを開始しました。

mgk performed at Summer Sonic Tokyo at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan on August 16, 2026. mgk said he was nervous but excited to perform in Tokyo, calling the show a longtime bucket-list moment after 16 years in music. He reflected on how Tickets to My Downfall inspired another young musician and how his iconic pink guitar had taken him around the world. He thanked Japanese fans before dedicating the song to punk rockers and anyone who refuses to be limited by genre.

mgk said, "I joke a lot when I'm feeling nervous. Clearly I'm very nervous. I want to put on a great show for you guys, but on a serious note, when I was backstage, one of the kids in the other bands who was playing, he said that the Tickets to My Downfall album was the first album that ever made him fall in love with music. And this pink guitar has brought me around the world. It's brought me here to Tokyo, in front of a crowd that I've dreamed of playing for so many years. I've been in the game for 16 years, dude. I've never performed in front of this many people in Tokyo. So thank you for being here and checking the bucket list off for me and all my boys and my girl. I think it's time we play this pink guitar tonight, what do you think? This is for all the punk rockers, for all the people who aren't scared of genres, for those who are out here to defy—this one is for you."

mgk then began performing "title track."
