My Watsonian POV is that the scars are an extremely defining part of Lestatโs self (and therefore worth mentioning) but to Louis they were inconsequential when compared to everything else (and therefore not worth mentioning).
Like it makes so much poetic sense. Rhaegar being the singular man amongst all of these women. Rhaenys, Rhaella, Rhaena, Rhaelle, Rhaenyra, then RHAEGAR as the male outlier. Then oops, donโt forget the guy who ran around the Red Keep naked and choked to death on pie ๐
Sometimes I understand GRRMโs naming conventions and narrative purpose like how heโs only given women and Rhaegar the prefix โRhaeโ but then I remember the (currently) pointless existence of RHAEGEL and get mad.
