@Pirat_Nation IMO adblocking is ethical since the ad industry itself is unethical. Their entire business model is based on data harvesting (also could call that stealing) and manipulation, its totally justified to want to opt out of that.
@blacknight6575@LalasClips@MommaOcco Its pretty simple. Nobody likes preachy assholes.
We criticise one side for preaching their beliefs at us, that doesnt mean we want the other side preaching at us instead.
Rev n Strawb should have dropped this a week ago but they just kept attacking.
@ChristinaTasty IMO GTA6 is probably gonna be fine, very competent even, but theres no way in hell it is going to be worth the billion dollar investment and over a decade dev time, its impossible to live up to that expectation, and I definitely dont think it should be the norm.
@softlikeshadows@Floc_A His framing doesnt leave room for discussion, hes pulling the "not up for debate" card asserting his life begins at conception view as the default and portraying anyone who doesnt subscribe to that as a baby murderer, I like rev but this isnt helpful.
@shir0wan Fascinating seeing the christians talk exactly like the wokies they hate, like throwing insults around like "grifter" while not understanding the meaning, same preachy condescending attitude that pushes people away from the left.
@darlingstrawbie I do think focusing in on the "pro abortion" label was talking shit, cause that reframes her views to seem more like "YAY I LOVE ABORTIONS" when you know that's not what she meant, but ya know that would incite more of an emotional reaction. It did feel shady IMO.
@LundukeJournal One major problem with Debian banning any code that AI has touched, is they would seemingly then have to ban the Linux kernel from their repos, not sure how that would work out.
@darlingstrawbie The problem is the total anti-abortion argument always seems to value the unborn and never values the mother, and this just feels weird to average people who naturally place more value on the already living person over a potential future that doesn't exist yet.
@GavinfreeN14636@Vensaval I dont think anyones surprised, but it seems like they still want everyone on the "nerd right" to agree with them, even though a selling point of the "nerd right" has been the wider variety of views, they dont want to be preached at by left or right, thats the main unifying idea.
@ember_paradox Both sides ultimately to come down to valuing one life over the other, IMO I think its fair to put more value on the already living mother over the unborn potential. The totally anti-abortion argument seems to only value the unborn and puts almost no value on the mother.
@yukiwaru_ I feel like you and powdur have the kinda normal position on this subject, same as me, we can agree that its not a GOOD thing but the world isnt black and white, sometimes there has to be allowances
"pro abortion" is maybe a bad label though, that suggests something more extreme
@schteppe ive used linux exclusively for over a decade (debian kde/DMS/mint cinnamon, and recently steamos, so a vartiety of setups) and i never had problems with bluetooth, audio, wifi, or suspend/resume
nvidia i cant comment on cause i just dont use that
@Awk20000 Dhar Mann is still a thing? The only thing he influenced was people making reaction videos clowning on him years ago, but I havent heard anything from him in years cause I think people just got bored of his schtick
@MichaelFineline@Qutini_@Awk20000 Hasan *literally* supports terrorists openly, publically, he broadcasts their anthems and propaganda, he glazes them constantly, and he is also the twitch CEOs ”favourite streamer" who can call for violence on a regular basis without being banned, thats where it comes from.
@LundukeJournal tbf there is a reason for wanting software to be updated regularly, because new security exploits appear daily, and as OS's change, if software isnt updated regularly then they either become unstable or insecure.
Not saying "daily", but at least regular updates, monthly even.
@LundukeJournal Not every Linux user uses Steam, most just use it for web browsing and other normie stuff, and then not everyone does the survey, so Steams 4% is the MINIMUM and the actual number is definitely much higher.
Plus, there is undeniably a lot more people getting tired of M$'s shit.
@ALegendaryDrops Every time, cause sometimes the negatives are subjective, like I saw a game rated down cause it had a lot of grinding, but for me who likes that kinda thing, thats not a negative, so its good to differentiate between those and the ones that are fundamentally broken.
@IntCyberDigest Oh NOW they think exposing peoples private data puts people at risk, weird they didnt when it was just OUR data they were putting at risk
