With that delivery, Maguire is going to get first contact on basically every single set piece. Half our goals under Carrick were because of the set piecec dynamic between Maguire and Case.

Cunha in the half space. Mbeumo SS. Amad RW. Play it long because midfield is crap.

@cookiee_AG49 @fc_mossman Dude genuinely pulled one over the data analysts. Of course if you dig a bit, the data does tell the story on how he gets his "progressive carry" numbers or shot volume but you really need to dig deep.

You can get the same insight from just watching the guy play 90 minutes.

@umirf1 This would've been exceptionally hard pre-AI assist but I think with the AI tools we have at our disposal, it shouldn't be a multi-year project.

@umirf1 I have this dream of building a really good football sim and throwing some bots at it in a 11v11 reinforcement learning mode. We know they learn to co-operate from our other experiments in multiplayer gaming like DotA. I wonder what left field meta will emerge as a result.
