Global M2 finally just broke out into new ATHs.

If you thought this already happened it's because other people were actually sharing a different chart--the Global Liquidity chart-- which is a similar chart but not the same.

This new ATH by Global M2 doesn't change the fact that BTC still isn't tracking global M2.

Rather than hope for resumption of correlation (which is not my base case), I think the more likely reason is that we are in the late stage of the Bitcoin bull run, whereby BTC does decouple from M2 (historically it has done so every cycle).

Where’s Bitcoin at right now?

Bitcoin has formed a very clean and clear megaphone (broadening wedge) pattern, with three touches at the top and four touches of the bottom.

We also have a recent trend shift to bullish, with higher lows and higher highs. Notice that the bottom of the megaphone did not get tapped again.

Thus, it’s my base case that BTC drops to the white support level, or higher, before rebounding and then breaking up out of the broadening wedge.
