If this is your interpretation, the movie isn't the problem your media literacy is.

Batman doesn't stop because of the coincidence. Hearing Superman beg to save Martha forces Bruce to relive the trauma of losing his own parents.

For the first time, he sees Superman not as an alien or a god, but as a son desperately trying to save his mother. In that moment, Bruce realizes he's about to become the very thing he swore to fight.

You don't have to like the execution, but criticizing a decade old meme instead of what actually happens in the film is a bad faith take.

Funny how people can understand Bucky is alive dialogue in Endgame also Batman breaking Darkseid's conditioning in Justice League Dark Apokolips War when Damian reminds him of his parents, yet suddenly lose all comprehension when Bruce's trauma is triggered by Superman pleading for his mother.

The movie isn't the problem. Your media literacy is.
