Disastrous budget. I'll tell what is relevant for investors:

Long term capital gains for all asset classes is going to be 12.5%. You may worry about your stocks and equity funds. Actually that is very less of your concern. You pay 2.5% more than earlier now.

What is important is same rate is going to be applicable for all asset classes including gold and real estate. In real estate, you've been paying a tax of 20% with indexation. That's why you were paying less tax. Now the rate is going to be 12.5%. Is it not time to celebrate?

No. Because indexation benefits have been removed for all the asset classes including real estate. You were able to adjust your purchase price to inflation and then pay tax. Now that is not possible. The tax outflows on sale of real estate would be henceforth huge, very huge.

@airtelindia I book’d Airtel xstream Fibre last Sunday, did KyC & paid upfront for 6 months. I was promised installation within 48 hours but it’s still not done due to some technical issues it seems. Complained to @Airtel_Presence multiple time but in vain. #pathetic tic

I ordered a mobile from @Flipkart on Dec 11. It showed next-day delivery, and the product reached the Dhanakawadi split hub on December 12th at 7:00 am. However, the status has not been updated yet. I consistently face this issue when orders go through the Dhanakawadisplithub

@Flipkart I placed 3 sep orders for a product, 12 days back. 2 were to be shipped to office address and 1 to home address. I got 3 different delivery dates, office - 14 Nov, 5 Sept & home - 20 Jun. All the 3 orders were shipped atsame time and place, same tracking details.

@Central_Railway @drmmumbaicr 02140 is not getting signal from last 2 hrs for Dadar. Stopped for 1 hr before ghatkopar and now more than 1hr before Vidyavihar. At least stop the train at a station so we can find another means to reach our destination as it is clearly evident that you can’t help

@RailMinIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw terrible experience. I am travelling on special train 02140 from Nagpur to Dadar. It was supposed to reach Dadar by 3:40. I had a connecting train from Ddr to Pune at 5:53, pretty much buffer of 2+ hrs. Reached Thane @ 4:30, stop almost for 30 mins

Left Thane at 5:00 but again stopped in before Ghatkopar a gave passage to almost more than dozen trains. I have missed by train to Pune and still this train hasn’t moved a inch. Pathetic experience. @Central_Railway
