@MichaelMHanna A team going 52-8 and not even reaching their own regional final proves that the system is exactly as it should be. It’s tough to swallow, but if your eight losses meant anything, you would’ve advanced.
@AlexAndBooks_ Slowing down your thinking process gives your intelligence and edge. Particularly with analytical cognition.
If he would read “Thinking Fast and Slow” by Daniel Kahneman, he’d know this.
I’m not sure who votes on this or, or how, but my 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter could tell you who @PhilElsonPxP is and what he does. The voice of a generation.
@OtisCam03403212@JonesRj1200@MikeIrwinPTN You’re right. I’m not, because that’d be ignorant. Iowa State isn’t Arkansas. The Big12 isn’t the SEC. The fact he’s done anything there doesn’t mean he’d do anything here. If I’m the best mechanic in the auto shop, does that mean I’m qualified to work on planes?
Yes. Beating better teams matters, but context still counts. Depth, recruiting, and week to week competition changes what ‘more with less’ means. No. 17 Kansas State is a lot different than a No. 17 A&M. Campbell has done nothing to give anyone confidence he can recruit or win here.
@JonesRj1200@MikeIrwinPTN Not when you play them at the clip we do. It’s not the record, it’s the percentage (.372). We’ve played roughly 24 ranked games the last four years, that’s good for about 8 wins. The same as Pittman. Should we have kept him?
Doing more with less in the Big 12 is impressive in the same way juggling oranges is impressive. In the SEC, you’re juggling chainsaws. Research tells you that at Toledo and Iowa State he was 1-4 against SEC and a 16-27 record against T25 with zero experience recruiting in this league.
