@ThisCrazyTrain Seems OW&ODSP functionally create homelessness, yet most cities tear down tents. They don't want the poor in homes, and they don't want us on the streets, they clearly just want us to magically disappear. There's a solution to poverty, and bullying us out of existence isn't it.
That’s it, that’s the rant. There’s no grand conclusion. Uh I guess I wanna say thank you to anyone who still reads my posts and gives a fuck about where I’ve ended up after I was assaulted last year. The aftermath has been beyond horrific. Thank you for caring. Big love
I think I've surpassed the "angst" phase of homelessness after annoying the fuck out of every social service agency in the city for a month. Finally convinced someone to let me talk to a housing worker, and I may have found a way out of this dorm-style shelter. Onwards.
These privileges absolutely make things easier for me. I can only imagine what a struggle it must be w/o prior experience. It should‘t be this fucking hard for anyone to get basic needs met. I may have disappeared from twitter but I sure as fuck haven’t stopped being angry. /5
It's every water fountain in every park in Toronto. We're nearing the end of June & turning on water fountains remains an engineering mystery this City can't solve. Truth is fountains & washrooms have never been closed this long & its all Phase 2 of @JohnTory encampment clearings
At this point, I am holding the @cityoftoronto responsible for housing me and for providing me with a rent geared to income subsidy and I will not take no for an answer.
Ah yes, housing - that’s what I was fighting for when @TorontoPolice officer Christopher Watson (still don’t have his badge # - someone wanna DM that?) committed an assault that I won’t allow him to forget about.
