On July 4, 1776, we declared independence from a king’s unjust taxes and tyranny.
250 years later, we’re taxed heavier than ever, even on the fireworks we buy to celebrate our freedom.
The irony is undeniable.
Remember the Declaration: Governments exist by consent of the governed. Time to reclaim true liberty. 🇺🇸💥
@kaylee_ashlynn Denominations (Protestants and Ortho-RCC) are so divided that the world doesn’t recognize the true churches of Christ (Rom 16:16)
Imagine how powerful Christianity would be with unity… the republic might well be flourishing instead of being decimated by an irreligious culture
So we’ve got open voting season, mail-in ballots, no voter ID, no proof of citizenship, ballot harvesting, drop boxes AND birth right citizenship.
Well played, Democrats. The invasion worked.
Meanwhile so-called republicans won’t pass the Save America Act and have backed off mass deportations because it looks “mean.”
Days before America celebrates its 250th birthday, former President Barack Obama is drawing renewed attention to the Founding Fathers' ties to slavery.
Obama said leaders like George Washington helped build the nation while also owning slaves, calling that contradiction a "deep flaw" at the heart of America's founding.
"I think sometimes we get confused in thinking that these two stories are separate. They're intertwined, right? Which is why it's possible for me to be a great admirer of George Washington, and also acknowledge he was a slaveholder," he said in a recent interview.
As Americans prepare for Independence Day celebrations across the country, Obama is using the occasion to argue that the nation's founding ideals and its history of slavery cannot be separated.
