Quite pleased with this piece of work. No hospital implemented the pathway fully but we found that using a multifaceted approach to improvement and having support to collect @NELANews data was associated with more care processes improved. https://t.co/wnjNtcprsD
@CanalRiverTrust@CityWestminster absolute chaos at the homeless camp near the Park Road NW8 part of the canal. Fire under the towpath footbridge last night got out of control…
Nice little study demonstrating the concept of “work as imagined vs work as done” regarding key critical care based practices…

@CanalRiverTrust@CityWestminster disgusting scenes of overflowing effluent at *Little Venice* CRT boat sanitary station. Not only major health risk but depriving boaters of a basic service (next nearest station is King’s X!!)
@CanalRiverTrust@CityWestminster Thanks for the quick reply. This is Regents Canal between Park Rd and Lisson Grove. It’s an area where often both you and @CityWestminster try and offload responsibility to the other. So thanks for saying you’ll sort it..!
@EaseMyTrip I have not received my flight confirmation after 12 hours of payment (says it should be max 45 mins) and there is no one in the London office...please assist
@Delta I’m going to miss my outbound flight this week as my 86yr old mother is in hospital…is there any way I can stop the return being cancelled in case I can still travel when she recovers?
@trishgreenhalgh In the sickest patients, is severe COVID pneumonitis similar enough to ARDS to be treated using that same set of evidence based guidelines or…not! Not sure the critical care community have reached a consensus on this…
Minimum dataset for surgical patients in Africa. Have a look at the dataset. Let's see if we can get this established across Africa. It would allow risk adjusted tracking of surgical outcomes doi: 10.1007/s00268-022-06815-3

Our study of the influences on ventilation decisions during COVID-19 goes live in German today thanks to @DrStefan2 & @NydahlPeter.
Versions in Italian, thanks @DrMCecconi & Dutch thanks MCG van de Poll coming soon!
Great team effort @Zudin_P @JohnProwle @CCPMG_TEAM@teamaccu
This thread gave me a warm fuzzy feeling and also brought tears to my eyes. Kindness is in short supply sometimes. But when I’m kind, everyone wins. Happy Friday everyone 😺
My 23rd patient today was a toddler with a cough and runny nose. He has been having symptoms, off and on, for three weeks. Mom is so tired. Her friend's son went to urgent care, got an antibiotic, and got better. This mom would like one for her son, too. 1/7

Just wondering if other Trusts are cutting Bank pay for critical care and theatres nurses or just mine? Apparently the cut is based upon NHSE pay caps but our senior team won’t share the guidance. Anyone know anything about this? @BACCNUK@WeNurses@theRCN

My professional & academic interests intersect in this study…how on earth did we make decisions during the madness of the COVID-19 waves? Questionnaire based upon findings from focus groups with colleagues…how transferable are these across the wider critical care community?
