Good morning. When adversity comes, let’s trust God’s perspective and believe that—even from what’s difficult—He can bring something good. Heavenly Father, please use our challenging moments to bring out Your will in our lives. Have a very blessed Saturday.
Good Friday
Good Morning. It’s day #6 of Holy Week, which is Good Friday, which commemorates Jesus taking the sins of the world upon Himself and dying for us all, which includes you and me. So, let that sink in for a minute because it was not just the folks back in the Bible whose sins nailed Jesus to the cross, but our sins. Shoot we don’t even want to take the blame for anything anyone else has done, let alone die for their actions, but yet that is exactly what our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ did for us. Now that’s love! So here is the baton, take it and read Matthew 27:17-61, which gives a detailed account of Jesus’ crucifixion, death, and burial. I pray we all have a phenomenal day in the Lord. I love y’all to life in Christ.
Maundy (pronounced Maan-dee) Thursday
Good morning. It’s day #5 of Holy Week, which is Maundy (pronounced Maan-dee) Thursday. Maundy speaks of commandments or instructions. It commemorates the last meal, better known as The Last Super, Jesus shard with His disciples before being crucified. This is where the tradition in the church of communion comes from.
Jesus prayed and thanked God for the meal. He then broke the bread shared the wine with His disciples, while explaining how the bread was symbolic is His body, broken for them and the wine was a symbol of His blood which was poured out for their sins to be forgiven.
During the meal Jesus also predicted the events that would immediately follow such as His betrayal, the denial of Peter, and His death and resurrection. After the meal Jesus became like a servant and washed the feet of His disciples. Now today I am not only passing the baton to you to read more about these events in Mathew 26:17-75, but I am praying, urging, and pleading that you will, so you can experience for yourself the depths of the love that our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ has for each of us. Have a phenomenal day in the Lord.
