Notes From The Feild:
Twitter, I will be back in 2 weeks (29/3).
The field and these people call - I must answer.
Knowing where I'm needed and how to prioritise is a skill/awareness I am thankful to have harnessed.
xoxo
Notes From The Gym:
Wearing training volume as a badge of honour will be your downfall.
Maybe not today.
Maybe not tomorrow.
But mark my words, it will. crush you.
Why?
Because we have spaces such as Strava and social media spaces where there is always someone to chase.
Notes From The Feild:
When you step back into a leadership role after time off, you will be met with resistance.
Will they remember me?
What if everything has changed?
Can I maintain and uphold my role?
Real leaders ask themself these questions.
Real leaders self-check.
Back on site - the beach has been swapped for red dirt.
Goals for this 2-weeks:
- Facilitate a 2-day Mental Health First Aid course
- Finish temporary gym setup for a 310 person mining camp
- Implement fatigue management strategies in relation to recent on-site incidents
Resistance loves Mondays.
It knows you're still thinking about the weekend and that you're distracted - Monday is resistance's chance to start the week strong.
Start stronger.
What is something you can do for 20 minutes, RIGHT NOW to crush your Monday resistance?
This morning I fly back to work for another 14 days worth of 12-hour days.
It's mixed emotions:
- Sad to leave
- Excited to get back
- Nervous about the workload
- Nervous about what I will miss
The beauty of FIFO work is these challenges - embrace.

Coaching Win:
An individual I worked closely with in the UK (2108) signed up for my free 5km running program.
The impact you make as a coach does not stop when you leave a job, gym or even a country.
Be yourself & care HARD - people will follow your coaching for years to come.
@JessicaFrayne Just keep moving ๐
Life isnโt always routine and these are the moment in life we train for - to stay fit and alert when things are a little tough.
@luckyrollrick You canโt do the next thing to the best of your ability until youโve done what youโre doing right now to the best of your ability.
Run Thoughts #069 (dump):
- Be intentional with who you allow in your life.
- If your mission is to take care of others, put yourself first.
- Always choose the 'hard right' over the 'easy wrong'.
- 10 minutes of 'growth reading' each morning changes my mindset for the day.
