I have to say I am not a fan of the way Coates generalizes certain very complex problems in our country into basic statements placing blame on one certain group of people. Deflection of responsibility helps no one. #EH208
Coates describes a situation on 109 where a man is being evicted from his home with his family and calls it a “plunder he could not prevent” which is just not true at all. Get a job pay your bills and you don’t get evicted. The man was only powerless because he made himself so.
“Journalism must balance what readers know they want with what they cannot anticipate but need.” Journalism is the delivery of the future to the present. This piece in the chain of time must remain intact or the truth of reality can be questioned.
