A new report about Halo: Campaign Evolved claims the remake relies heavily on outsourced development and includes major gameplay and mission changes.
According to Halo insider Rebs Gaming, external studio Abstraction handled a large amount of the technical and level-design work.
Some sources described the project as “not really an in-studio project” for Halo Studios.
Reported changes include:
• A major redesign of “The Library” to reduce repetitive gameplay.
• Additional revisions to repetitive sections across other missions.
• Modernized mechanics like sprinting and expanded traversal.
• A “campaign remix” system featuring skull modifiers and alternate gameplay rules.
• A reported third-person gameplay modifier.
• Brutes appearing in missions where they were not present in the original Halo: Combat Evolved.
• Nine extra weapons added to the sandbox, including the Energy Sword, Battle Rifle, SMG, Spiker, and Sentinel Beam.
Official previews emphasized staying faithful to the tone and structure of the original game while modernizing gameplay in Unreal Engine 5.

Destiny 2 should have had maybe an epilogue expansion after Final Shape and then just stopped development on it. It's a real shame Bungie will proceed with layoffs now but we can at least look forward to Destiny 3 eventually.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
🇹🇷 A Turkish court just removed the entire leadership of Turkey's main opposition party. And handed it back to the guy who already lost to Erdoğan.
An Ankara appeals court nullified the 2023 CHP congress that brought Özgür Özel to power, citing vote-buying allegations. Özel and his full party council are out.
Former chairman Kılıçdaroğlu (who lost the 2023 presidential race to Erdoğan) is temporarily reinstated. The court also voided a second congress Özel held specifically to try to protect his position.
This is a pattern now. In March 2025, Istanbul mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu (the opposition figure who backed Özel and was seen as the strongest potential challenger to Erdoğan) was arrested on corruption charges and suspended from office.
Now the leader İmamoğlu installed is removed by court order...
Two of erdoğan's biggest opposition threats gone in 14 months, both through the courts. Both on corruption allegations.
At what point does "rule of law" just become rule?
