She fled the inferno of the shelling that struck near her tent in search of safety, hiding in her mother’s embrace inside the tent.
Tragedy struck as she fell into a pot of boiling food that her mother was preparing for her displaced family.
The child, Eileen Al-Attar, spent more than a full month between life and death inside the intensive care unit.
Today, after her discharge, her small body is battling unbearable pain as wild flesh and open wounds cover her body amidst a complete absence of even the most basic types of medicine, ointments, and medical treatments to alleviate her suffering and close her wounds.
Eileen is suffering in silence—a cry directed to all international medical and humanitarian agencies, and to anyone who can lend a helping hand to save her life and provide her with urgent treatment inside or outside the Strip before it is too late.

UAE-backed Rapid Support Militia Kills Nine Civilians, Including Two Women, in Attack on Al-Jamama and Loots Health Centre
Nine civilians, including two women, were killed and 14 others injured in a large-scale attack launched by the Rapid Support militia on Al-Jamama in North Kordofan State, according to preliminary information released by the Sudan Doctors Network.
The network said the militia attacked the area after accusing local residents of providing information to and cooperating with the Sudanese Armed Forces. During the assault, militia fighters reportedly targeted civilians and carried out widespread looting of the local market, health centre and residents’ property.
The attack triggered a major wave of displacement, forcing large numbers of civilians to flee the area in search of safety. The looting and disruption of the health centre and other civilian facilities have further worsened the humanitarian situation and deprived the remaining population of essential medical and basic services.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemned the killings, forced displacement and looting of health facilities and markets, describing the attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure as grave violations of international humanitarian law. It stressed that targeting civilians under any pretext constitutes a crime that requires investigation, accountability and prosecution of those responsible.
The network called on the leadership of the Rapid Support militia to immediately end its attacks against civilians, stop punishing communities over allegations of cooperation with the Sudanese Armed Forces, and comply with international humanitarian law, which prohibits attacks on civilians, medical facilities and other civilian property.
The assault on Al-Jamama reflects a pattern repeatedly witnessed in communities attacked by the militia across Kordofan and Darfur, where allegations of cooperation with the army have been used as a pretext for killing civilians, displacing communities and stripping residents of their property and essential services.
