@ABHARPUnite@andrewcarleton7 Eh. I’m old enough to remember when the WC was 24 teams & 3rd place teams would move on. That particular aspect isn’t the problem, it’s the fact that at 48 teams there are way too many teams. I was OK w/32 teams, but thought 24 was enough and ideal.
@angry_gcole Got that one immediately as well. Was totally wrong about how good he was going to be after his rookie year. Was (unfortunately) totally right that he was going to regress w/the Yankees after being fixed by the Braves.
@TomG8675309@SleeperYankees Before my time. Was he trending bust before the injury, or did he injury put him on that path? (Yankees will probably never be bad enough to get another No.1 overall pick again, & we made arguably the worst one off all time 🙂)
@FanCovTeamUSA@Fried_Szn@Yankees@nysportsfan322@MLBPS_US That’s turned out to work out for us, but let’s not pretend there wasn’t a little luck there. They wanted Cody bc he was cheaper, but I’m happy it worked out for us 🙂. Wanting Tucker at the time was a defensible opinion.
@Paulie927@TomG8675309@TalkinYanks He was subpar at SS even as a young prospect with the Mets. No way getting older and less athletic has made him better there 🙂.
@OntheVine00@yankeesondeck_ Lol. Baring injury he’s hitting 50 HRs this season. The end of his contract won’t be great, but we aren’t close to that as yet.
@563iowa@OleTimeHardball Where did Bonds rank on the greatest hitters list pre-PED? Obviously he was already a 1st ballot HOFer, but I remember the talk was always about him being the best all around player, not a pure hitter. The PED use really juiced up his slugging stats (he always had a great eye).
@So954Flo@ALovari9@Yankees@StarrCompanies I guess as devils advocate Rosario or Jazz could play SS (which would put Rosario at 2B). But I actually don’t have any issues w/the lineup. I was trying to predict today’s lineup last night during the game, & this is exactly what I expected.
@MacsCardShack@Yankees@StarrCompanies McMahon was definitely starting w/Fried on the mound, but they definitely could have worked in Rosario sometime in the last few days.
@dawest76 Lol. I feel like most of the people here are missing the point. I’ve had Prime for years &have most of the other streaming services too. But I agree that it sucks that there are streaming only games. I’m just happy Amazon was better than Netflix &there weren’t buffering issues🙂.
@BrandonTierney Longevity matters, so you can’t say he’s the greatest. But given the era he pitched in & the ballparks he pitched in the AL East, he’s definitely in the argument for most dominant prime.
But you’re right that Ryan is the odd man out, not Pedro or Clemens.
