Ukraine cannot get into a drone attrition war with Russia and win. Z knows this. I therefore think the most probable purpose is to make Putin lose his cool and lash out either so big inside Ukraine that it shocks the Western publics into joining the war w Ukraine directly, or that Putin will make good on his recent threat to strike NATO territory in retaliation for their involvement in the strikes deep inside Russia - hoping to spark an Article V moment and then NATO will join Ukraine to fight Russia.

We must convey in strong and uncertain terms that the United States will not — under ANY circumstances — fight Russia for Ukraine.

A desperate Z is only too eager to risk World War III by drawing the U.S. in. Here’s what *everyone* needs to understand: we cannot militarily defeat Russia, even w Article V, bc we are too weak, and to even try would dramatically raise the risk of nuclear weapons falling on American cities.

There is nothing in Ukraine worth that cost. Ukraine could have taken a negotiated deal in April 2022 and chose not to. No American should die today bc of Zelensky’s poor decision back then.
